I grew up in a home with my Mother and Paternal Grandmother teaching me to sew and quilt. I bought my first new sewing machine when I was only 14 years old. I purchased it from a magazine. It was called a Dressmaker Sewing Machine and it used cams for different stitch designs. I thought it was a state of the art sewing machine. I used to sit with my Mother and cut pieces of fabric from my Father's old shirts with a scissors. I was enchanted as I watched my Mother sew these small pieces together making the quilt top. My Mother, Grandmother and I would labor together assembling the top, middle and back of the quilt. We stitched this by hand with a needle and thread. The memories of time together sewing are priceless. Time went on and my interests grew. Quilting became more and more an everyday part of my life. In 2005 I purchased a computerized longarm quilting machine and went into business. Quilting is a passion for me. I truly enjoy helping others create their lasting memories through quilting.
